They often say rain on your wedding day brings good luck. As the Italians say, “Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata". Symbolically, the rain is a cleanse and it can signify unity. The truth is, no one wants rain on their wedding day....luck or no luck.
Laura & Will's wedding day was certainly one for the books. Just as we started photos dark clouds approached and sprinkles started to fall. Soon thereafter severe thunderstorms rocked the mid-south for hours upon hours with blowing rain, sideways I might add! I feel so fortunate that we were able to capture the photos of the bride and groom with their attendants before the heavy rain began to fall.
Laura & Will elected not to see each other until the ceremony so by the time the wedding was over we had a down pour of blowing rain and we had to exit the Church due to time restraints. I was only able to capture very few photos of the happy couple. I will not stand for that, so I have asked them to don their wedding attire one more time for another round of wedding photos. I will never let my couples walk away with only a few photos due to uncontrollable events. So stay tuned for more photos of Laura and Will
