Cherish: Luke is here!

I was soooo excited to see my cousin Melissa and meet little Luke this afternoon.  It seems like FOREVER since Melissa told me she was expecting this little man and I didn't think 40 weeks would ever get here (much like mommy I am sure).

Luke made his appearance on his due date just 8 days ago.  Melissa followed my advise and got him in for portraits during his first week home. I must say that he was the most active 8 day old newborn I have ever photographed.  He was moving his head and trying to lift himself up.  He has a slight obsession with his hands too :).  We were lucky enough to grab a few photos before he had enough and of course he went fast asleep right after!  You have one precious baby boy on your hands Melissa.  I am so proud for you!

Cotton Field Mini Session's - Part One!

We had a great day of mini sessions in the local cotton field.  After moving our date up a week due to cotton production we were blessed with a field FULL of beautiful white fluffy goodness.  My grandmother always called it Mississippi snow!  The rain parted just in time for the first session and provided beautiful blue sky with great cloud coverage.  The kiddo's and families were so much fun.  Everyone was dressed perfectly.  It was so great to see all of my return clients and even welcome a few new one's.  Thanks to every one who participated and for my assistant Adaryll today!
