Family Portraits and Emma is THREE!

The good life.....family, friends, sun, sand water and wonderful memories!  I am so very thankful that we took the time out to take some portraits on our family trip.  Never take for grated the simple things in life.  It amazes me how much our lives have changed in the three short weeks since we had these photos made.  We were running and playing on the beach, splashing in the surf and in the blink of an eye in what seems like a whirlwind, my health spiraled out of control.  I went from a very active girl, running 2 miles a day and hitting the gym six days a week to not being able to get out of bed.  My health crisis that has landed me in the care of nine different physicians, over a dozen medical test, a stay in ICU and discharged on home health with physical and occupational therapy.  We are still trying to find a diagnosis therefore more testing and doctor visits awaits.  It all started with a growth inside the bone marrow in the coccyx (tailbone). I have gradually lost sensation from the waist down while loosing my ability to walk this past weekend.  Some motor skills have also been affected as well as speech.  I am slowly regaining my ability to walk.  It is a very frustrating and slow recovery and I can't get better soon enough.  Thank you all for being so patient in rescheduling appointments!
